E-commerce Standards & Consumer Rights

Last updated 13 September 2026

This Bangladesh-based store is designed around transparent product information, clear pricing, payment traceability, customer support, order records, delivery/return information, privacy safeguards and complaint handling.

Bangladesh framework

Operations should follow applicable Bangladesh laws, rules and regulatory directions as amended from time to time, including consumer-protection requirements and applicable digital-commerce, cyber-security, taxation, payment and business-registration obligations. The National Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection administers the Consumers’ Right Protection Act, 2009 and provides a national consumer complaint function.

International e-commerce practices

For customers, platforms and service providers outside Bangladesh, we use internationally recognized e-commerce practices such as clear merchant identity, accurate product descriptions, transparent pricing, accessible terms/privacy information, secure transport, order confirmation, payment traceability, return/refund information and appropriate payment-data protection. These are operational standards/best practices; there is no single universal “international digital business law” that replaces each country’s laws.

Payment security

Card-payment environments should follow applicable PCI DSS obligations and the requirements of the relevant acquirer/payment provider. Live compliance depends on the actual deployed payment architecture and must be validated accordingly.
